I used to work in the editorial department for a children’s mental health facility. It was a hard job for a lot of reasons, not least of which because the general public can be really uncomfortable discussing children or adolescents suffering from mental health problems. There is still a stigma that makes seeking or acknowledging treatment a challenge.
That is why I am so moved by this video featuring Sydney, a patient at Bradley Hospital in Rhode Island. Congratulations to her on her bravery and her progress.
